A Unique Wine Tasting Experience

 

The Galer Estate winery tasting room is located in the heart of the historic Brandywine Valley, in Chester County, Pennsylvania, just behind the world famous Longwood Gardens. Wine tastings are available Thursday through Sunday or by special appointment. Galer Estate uses only grapes grown from our own vineyards, and grapes grown from within a 30 mile radius of the winery. The design of the winery is a mixture of style and function, using state of the art equipment, engineered gravity flow and an open floor design, this functionality is encompased within an artistic setting of old-world architectural elements, stained glass, paintings, repurposed barnwood, marble and iron fencing. Most of the aesthetic touches come from other places-- the marble on the tasting bar comes from the steps of Independence Hall, the 1890s deck doors come from an eastcoast bank,  the pediment comes from a mansion in New York. The aesthetics of the winery are all in  the wonderful details; everything has a story, just like the wine.

 

Indoor and outdoor seating is available seasonally. The main deck overlooks the beautiful Red Lion Chardonnay Vineyard, and in the colder months the tasting room moves to the cozy Red Lion Tasting Room, with a stone fireplace and hand hewn timber ceiling.

Galer Estate offers many locally sourced food items including fresh baked baguettes, a rotating cheese tray and other charcuterie. We also welcome you to bring any additional light snacks or meals. 

 

Wine tastings are $10 per person, each consisting of four 1oz pours. An individual wine tasting fee is waived when the guest purchases two or more bottles. Be sure to ask the wine server about additional wine discounts!

 

Outside alcohol, pets, and young children are not permitted on property.
